What we don't keep
- Card details. These go straight to Stripe. We never see your full card number.
- Your transcripts. They're kept on our server for about an hour so the page can show them, then deleted. Your "Recent" list is stored only in your own browser.
- No advertising or tracking cookies. We use one essential cookie to keep you logged in, and one short-lived cookie during Google sign-in.
Who we share data with
- Stripe: payments (see Stripe's privacy policy).
- Google: if you choose Google sign-in, or if we email you through Gmail.
- Anthropic: if enabled, the text of YouTube's automatic captions is sent to Anthropic's API to add punctuation. No account details are sent.
- Our hosting provider, which runs the server.
We don't sell your data. Some of these providers may process data outside the UK under appropriate safeguards.
How long we keep it
Account data is kept while your account is open. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete it within 30 days, except records we must keep by law, such as payment records held by Stripe.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask to see, correct, delete or move your data, or object to how we use it. Email us and we'll reply within a month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
