Terms of Service
Last updated: 23 October 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Clipscribe ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the site, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use Clipscribe. Questions: clipscribeofficial@gmail.com.
1. What Clipscribe does
Clipscribe turns the speech in a public YouTube or TikTok video into text. Transcripts are produced automatically and may contain mistakes. Insights such as the Hitline, clip moments and the virality meter are automated estimates, not guarantees of how a video will perform.
2. Your account
- You must give accurate details and keep your password and recovery code private. You're responsible for activity on your account.
- You can delete your account at any time by emailing us from the address on the account.
- We may suspend accounts that break these terms or misuse the service.
3. Acceptable use
- Only transcribe videos you have the right to use, for example your own content, or uses allowed by law such as private study, criticism, review or quotation.
- Respect the rights of video creators and the terms of the platforms the videos come from.
- Don't use Clipscribe to harass anyone, to break the law, or to overload, scrape or attack the service.
4. Plans, free trial and payment
- Free: up to 5 transcriptions a day, for videos up to 30 minutes.
- Pro: £2.00 a month, including VAT where applicable. Pro covers longer videos and adds extra features listed on the pricing section.
- Free trial: new Pro customers get 7 days free. We take a card at the start, but you pay nothing during the trial. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your card is charged £2.00 on the date shown in your profile and then every month.
- Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
- We'll give you at least 30 days' notice by email before changing the price.
5. Cancelling and refunds
- You can cancel at any time from My profile. If you cancel during the free trial, you won't be charged. If you cancel later, Pro stays on until the end of the month you've paid for and you won't be charged again.
- Under UK consumer law you normally have 14 days to cancel a digital service. By starting to use Pro straight away, you agree that this right ends once the service has been fully provided, but we'll still consider any refund request in good faith. Email us within 14 days of a payment.
6. Availability
We try to keep Clipscribe running smoothly, but we can't promise it will always be available or that every video can be transcribed. Some videos are private, age-restricted, blocked or have no speech.
7. Liability
Clipscribe is provided "as is". As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect losses or for decisions you make based on a transcript or insight. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you've paid us in the 12 months before a claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we'll tell you by email or on the site before it takes effect.
9. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you can also bring claims in your local courts.
Draft template. Have this checked before taking real payments.
